Vampire Bordello + King Drive

Vampire Bordello is opgericht door leden met flink wat ervaring in verschillende bands. Dit komt allemaal samen in een band die qua stijl ligt tussen Faith no more, Electric six en Bloodhound gang met wat funky uitstapjes a la Fun lovin’ criminals en de Red hot chili peppers. Een energiek optreden met veel muzikale variatie van een band die zichzelf niet heel serieus neemt.

Support deze avond is King Drive. Deze band speelt vuige stoner rock en laat met hun performance spontaan je baard groeien.

As with most bands Jeroen and Niels got the idea of forming a band while they where at a gig. Both Niels and Jeroen practiced in the same studio with Jeroen playing in the thrash metal band Chained Messiah and Niels (at the time) was one of guitar players in Polydrone. After a few sessions to determine which way to go sonically the search for a drummer began and was found in Pim who has experience as a drummer in folk metal and hard rock.

With the band complete the next step was to record a demo, First Spark. The band was aiming for a raw and live sound and chose to record every instrument at once, on a boat. This introduced some challenges but resulted in a gritty feel drawing influences from Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Down, Black Sabbath etc.

With a don't-take-yourself-too-serious attitude King Drive now hits the road.
